Police Response

At approximately 10:24am this morning, September 12, 2022, the East Lampeter Township Police Department responded to the Conestoga Valley High School at 2110 Horseshoe Rd for a report of a student possibly in possession of a firearm.  The school administration had been advised of several alerts through social media outlets that a student was believed to be in possession of a firearm.

These alerts could not be substantiated and no firearm or other weapon was located.  A single police officer was remaining on scene to assist.  During the initial response, the school  was placed into a lockdown to help with the security of the students and staff; this has since been lifted.  The school community is safe and regular classes have resumed.  The investigation continues to determine the source of the report.  The East Lampeter Township Police Department will post additional updates if new information is learned.
