Police Incidents form 10/1/19 thru 10/17/19

THEFT: On 10-1-19 police received a report of a bicycle theft.  On 8-20-19 at approximately 1400 hrs, actor(s) removed a red Trek 21-speed mountain bike from outside Image First Barber Shop, 141 Main St.  Estimated total loss $300.00.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 10-1-19 police responded to the 1500 block of Ridgeview Ave for a domestic incident.  Following investigation, Nicole Sharma (41) of Lancaster and Pooran Sharma (44) of Lancaster were both cited with Disorderly Conduct (S).

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS: On 10-1-19 police responded to Sheetz Mini Market, 3101 Columbia Ave, for a suspicious activity complaint.  Following investigation, Joshua Lefever (24) of Conestoga was cited with Public Drunkenness (S).

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  On 10-2-19 police responded to Loeffler Financial Group, 2201 Columbia Ave, for a vandalism complaint.  Sometime between 9-26-19 and 10-2-19, actor(s) wrote on the side of the building in permanent marker.  Unknown value of damage.

PROTECTION FROM ABUSE VIOLATION: On 10-2-19 police responded to the 1100 block of Snapper Dam Rd for a PFA violation.  Following investigation, Timothy Chavez (35) of Landisville was taken into custody and charged with Arrest for Violation of Order (M3).  Chavez was transported to Lancaster County Prison.

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS: On 10-4-19 police responded to Tuesday Morning, 1825 Columbia Ave, for a male sleeping on a bench.  Following investigation, Douglas Givler (52) of Lancaster was cited with Public Drunkenness (S).

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 10-4-19 police responded to the 2400 block of Chestnut View Dr for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 0700-1700 hrs on 10-4-19, actor(s) scratched 2 vehicles with a pointed object causing an approximately $800.00 in damage.

HARASSMENT: On 10-4-19 a 15-year old female of Lancaster was cited with Harassment (S), stemming from an altercation at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave, this same date.

THEFT: On 10-4-19 police responded to the 2300 block of Chestnut View Dr for a theft report.  Sometime between 1353-1716 hrs on 10-4-19, actor(s) removed a package from in front of a residence.  Total estimated value of loss $63.65.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 10-5-19 police responded to the first block of Main St for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 10-4-19 at 2300 hrs and 10-5-19 at 1130 hrs, actor(s) smashed the windshield and passenger side front window, punctured the front passenger side tire and poured an unknown liquid into the gas tank of a vehicle.  Total estimated damage $1,800.00.

WARRANT SERVICE: On 10-6-19 police conducted a traffic stop on Spring Valley Rd in the area of Rohrerstown Rd.  The driver, Orlando Harris (37) of Lancaster, was found to have a warrant through Chester County.  Harris was taken into custody and turned over to a Chester County Constable.

HOME IMPROVEMENT FRAUD: On 10-7-19 Glenn Fawber (71) of Pequea was charged with False Statement to Induce Agreement for Home Improvement Services (F2) and Theft by Deception (F3).  Fawber received an estimated $10,170.00 between October 2018 and May 2019 to replace windows in a residence in the 2100 block of Marietta Ave and no work was performed.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 10-7-19 at 1558 hrs police responded to Centerville Rd in the area of Rt 30 EB for a hit and run crash.  Following investigation, Stephen Haefner (28) of Lebanon was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence-3rd Offense (F3).

THEFT: On 10-8-19 police responded to Roots Market, 705 Graystone Rd, for a theft report.  Stand holder Peaceful Valley Amish Furniture reported that sometime between 10-1-19 to 10-8-19 actor(s) removed an undisclosed amount of cash.

THEFT BY DECEPTION: On 10-9-19 Justin Fulmer (20) of Mount Joy was charged with Theft by Deception (M1) and a warrant was issued for his arrest.  Fulmer purchased four TIS 20” black rims with 4 tires on 8-25-19 in the 2300 block of Wood St making payment of $1,900.00 with a bad check.

BURGLARY: On 10-9-19 John Ericson (40) of Boardman, OH was charged with Burglary (F1), Theft (F3) and Criminal Mischief (M3).  Ericson forced entry into a residence in the first block of Holland St on 8-28-18 and removed a large amount of jewelry, electronic and other miscellaneous items totaling approximately $8,500.00 in value.

HARASSMENT: On 10-9-19 police responded to the 3100 block of Dale Dr for a suspicious activity complaint.  Following investigation, a 16-year old male of Lancaster was charged with Harassment (S).

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  On 10-9-19 police responded to Loeffler Financial Group, 2201 Columbia Ave, for a vandalism complaint.  Sometime between 10-8-19 at 2130 hrs and 10-9-19 at 1130 hrs, actor(s) wrote on the side of the building in permanent marker.  Estimated value of damage $30.00.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 10-10-19 a 14-year old male student of Columbia and a 14-year old male student of East Petersburg were both cited with Disorderly Conduct (S), stemming from an altercation at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave, on this same date.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 10-10-19 a 15-year old female student of Mountville and a 14-year old female student of Mountville were both charged with Disorderly Conduct (S), stemming from an altercation at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave, on this same date.

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS: On 10-10-19 police responded to the 600 block of Church St for a suspicious activity.  Following investigation, Jafaar Sule (25) of Elizabethtown, was charged with Public Drunkenness (S).

WARRANT SERVICE: On 10-12-19 at 0936 hrs police conducted a traffic stop at the end of the ramp from Rohrerstown Rd to Rt 30 West.  The driver, Melissa Eshleman (41) of Denver, PA was found to have a forgery warrant through York County.  Eshleman was taken into custody and turned over to a detective from the York County District Attorney’s Office.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 10-13-19 police observed Garrett Rowe (26) of Halifax driving in the 500 block of Centerville Rd.  Following investigation, Rowe was charged with 2 counts of Driving Under the Influence (M). 

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 10-14-19 police responded to McDonalds, 311 Centerville Rd, for an erratic driver.  Following investigation, Daniel Gracia (43) of Lancaster was charged with Driving Under the Influence-3rd Offense (F3), Restrictions on Alcoholic Beverages (S) and a summary traffic violation.

BURGLARY: On 10-14-19 police responded to Root’s Country Market, 705 Graystone Rd, for a burglary report.  Sometime between 10-11-19 at 1600 hrs and 10-14-19 at 0836 hrs, actor(s) broke into the main building on the property and rummaged through 12 businesses causing damage to cash registers, a surveillance camera and a glass door and taking cash, candy and a black & green skull cap.  Total estimated damage $723.95.  Total estimated value of loss $183.75.

IDENTITY THEFT: On 10-15-19 Keri Heaps (21) of Lancaster was charged with Identity Theft (M1) and two summary traffic violations, stemming from a traffic stop 3-20-19 on Rt 30 EB in the area of Centerville Rd. 

FORGERY: On 10-15-19 Angel Manuel Pena (40) of Lancaster was charged with Forgery (F3) and Theft by Deception (F3).  On 9-24-19 Pena attempted to cash a stolen check at Fulton Bank, 2099 Columbia Ave, in the amount of $2,500.00. 

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 10-15-19 Christopher Way (33) of Marietta was charged with Driving Under the Influence (M), Possession of Controlled Substance (M), Use/Possess Drug Paraphernalia (M) and several summary traffic violations, stemming from a vehicle crash 9-24-19 at 1410 hrs on Rt 283 WB in the area of the State Rd overpass.

THEFT: On 10-15-19 Mitchell Heaps (28) of Lancaster was charged with Theft (M1) and a warrant was issued for his arrest.  Heaps, a former employee of Spooky Nook Sports, 2913 Spooky Nook Rd, is alleged to have taken cash from safes and cash drawers in the month of September 2019.  Total estimated amount of loss $1,084.61.

WARRANT SERVICE:  On 10-15-19 at 0948 hrs police conducted a traffic stop on McGovernville Rd in the area of Colonial Crest Dr.  The driver, Xiomara Amaro (27) of East Petersburg, was found to have a warrant through the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department for disorderly conduct.  Amaro was taken into custody and transported to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.

THEFT: On 10-17-19 police received a report of a theft in the 200 block of Main St.  Sometime between 1500-2000 hrs on 10-16-19, actor(s) removed a Macbook Pro and Bluetooth Speaker from the residence.  Estimated total value $1,352.00.
