Police Incidents from 12-21-18 to 12-31-18

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 12-21-18 Sandra Hoffman (52) of East Petersburg was charged with DUI (M1), Harassment (M3) and Public Drunkenness (S), stemming from a disturbance at Hot Z Pizza, 3001 Harrisburg Pike, on 12-19-18.

HARASSMENT: On 12-21-18 a 15-year-old male student of Lancaster was cited with Harassment (S), stemming from an incident at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave, on this date.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 12-21-18 police responded to the 1300 block of Deer Ln for a reported theft from vehicle.  Sometime between the hours of 1200 to 1245 unknown actor(s) removed a purse and loose change from an unlocked vehicle in a private driveway.  Estimated amount of loss $20.00.

RETAIL THEFT: On 12-21-18 Tanasia Jordan (23) of Columbia was charged with Retail Theft (S) after removing a pre-ordered cake, valued at $39.99, from Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill Supermarket, 301 Rohrerstown Rd, on 12-14-18 without making payment.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 12-22-18 police responded to Women’s and Babies Hospital, 690 Good Dr, for a disturbance.  Following an investigation Jonathan Martinez (33) of Lancaster was charged with Disorderly Conduct (M3) and Harassment (S).

RETAIL THEFT: On 12-24-18 Lillie Padua (56) of Mountville was charged with Retail Theft (S) stemming from an incident 10-13-18 at That Fish Place, 237 Centerville Rd.  Padua was captured on video placing a puppy nursing kit, valued at $5.99, in her pocket and leaving the store without making payment.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 12-25-18 police responded to the 1300 block of Hyde Park Dr for a criminal mischief report.  Following investigation, it was determined that between the hours of 1800 to 2100 on 12-24-18, (3) window screens were cut and punctured.  Total value of damage $150.00.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 12-25-18 police responded to the 2200 block of Wood St for a criminal mischief report.  Following investigation, it was determined that between the hours of 2000 on 12-24-18 and 0800 on 12-25-18, a vehicle parked on private property was sprayed with black paint causing an estimated $600.00 in damage.

THEFT:  On 12-29-18 at 1912 hours, police responded to Batteries Plus, 3023 Columbia Ave, for a reported theft.  A white male with a goatee, glasses, dark hoodie, jeans and tan boots was observed taking (10) used batteries (total value $180.00) from the rear of the business.  The male then left in a red 2002-2004 Saturn SL.

INDIRECT CRIMINAL CONTEMPT/PFA VIOLATION: On 12-29-18 Anthony Warner, Jr (22) of New Providence was charged with Contempt for Violation of Order (PFA) and an arrest warrant was issued.  On 12-30-18 Warner was taken into custody by the Pennsylvania State Police and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

WARRANT SERVICE: On 12-30-18 police received a tip that Jerry Mowery, Jr (42) of Lancaster had an outstanding warrant through West Hempfield Township Police Department.  Mowery was located at his place of employment, Villa Nova West, 2833 Columbia Ave, taken into custody and turned over to the West Hempfield Township Police Department.

POSSESSION OF SMALL AMOUNT OF MARIJUANA: On 12-31-18 a 15-year-old female of Lancaster was charged with Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana (M) and Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M), stemming from an incident in the 1000 block of Harriet Ave on 12-25-18.

ROBBERY: On 12-31-18 at 0947 hours a male with a black mask and displaying a black firearm entered Largo of Lancaster, 3071 Columbia Ave, and demanded their money.  The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic male, thin build, approximately 5’8”, wearing a black baseball cap, sunglasses, black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.  The male was observed leaving the scene in a gray pick-up truck with a ladder rack.  He took an undisclosed amount of money.  Anyone with information on this Robbery is asked to contact Det. RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE: On 12-31-18 officers located a Ford F350 truck in the parking lot of 101 Centerville Rd that is believed to have been used in the robbery of Largo of Lancaster on this same date.  The vehicle was stolen from Kinzers, PA on 12-31-18 and the vehicle was turned over to the Pennsylvania State Police.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: On 12/31/18 officers responded to the 2100 block of Church St, Lancaster, for a disturbance.  Following investigation Christopher Myers (40) of Lancaster was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault (F1), Simple Assault (M2), Unlawful Restraint (M1) and Disorderly Conduct (S).  He was then transported to Lancaster County Prison.
