Police Incidents from 11-14-18 to 11-25-18

TERRORISTIC THREATS: On 11-14-18 Andrew Ostrowski (53) of Wilkes Barre was charged with Terroristic Threats Cause Serious Public Inconvenience (F3) for threats made against a religious institution and a warrant was issued.  On 11-20-18 Ostrowski was taken into custody by the Edwardsville Police Department and transported to the Wilkes Barre Police Department, where East Hempfield Township officers served the warrant and transported him to Lancaster County Prison.  Upon arraignment Ostrowski was held without bond.

VEHICLE THEFT: On 11-16-18 it was reported that a 2011 GMC Yukon, white in color, was stolen from 1955 Columbia Ave sometime between 5PM 11-13-18 and 8AM 11-15-18.  The vehicle was recovered by Lancaster City Police 11-16-18 at 5AM on First St, where it was abandoned.

THEFT: On 11-17-18 Schneider Villier (20) of Landisville was observed taking a Redline Proline Expert Bicycle (Valued at $519.99) from the 300 block of East Main St.  Villier was found in the area of 3049 Harrisburg Pk, taken into custody by police, charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking (M1) and Purchase, Consumption, Possession or Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages (S).  He was then transported to Lancaster County Prison.

POSSESSION OF SMALL AMOUNT OF MARIJUANA: On 11-18-18 Evan Gipprich (26) of Reading was charged with Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana (M) following a routine traffic stop.

FORGERY:  On 11-19-18 Dorothy Huber (34) of East Earl was charged with Forgery (F2) for passing 2 counterfeit $20 bills at Royal Farms, 200 Rohrerstown Rd on 10-31-18. 

POSSESSION OF SMALL AMOUNT OF MARIJUANA: On 11-19-18 Salvador Ramos (33) of Reading was charged with Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana (M) and Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M) stemming from an incident that occurred 11-13-18 at the intersection of Glenbrook Ave and Charmayne Ave.

RETAIL THEFT: On 11-19-18 Glenn Spring (53) of Glen Rock, PA was charged with Retail Theft (M2) following an investigation of a reported retail theft on 11-8-18 at Sheetz, 3101 Columbia Ave.  Spring was observed on video removing 4 bags of beef jerky and 4 packs of ELK sticks (total value $83.91) from the store.

VEHICLE THEFT: On 11-19-18 Michael Benavides (29) Of Lancaster was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking (F3) for taking a vehicle from the first block of Duo Dr between October 6th and 7th, 201.  The vehicle was recovered by Manheim Township Police Department on 10-7-18 after finding the vehicle involved in a crash on Rt 283 E in Manheim Township.

NOISE ORDINANCE VIOLATION: On 11-20-18 Deborah Hayes (71) of Lancaster was cited with Barking Dog-Noise Disturbance (S) stemming from an incident that occurred on 11-11-18 in the 800 block of Imperial Dr.

DOG LAW VIOLATION: On 11-22-18 police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Ridgeview Avenue for a found dog.  Following investigation it was determined that the dog owner is Carlos Nunez (25) of Lancaster.  Nunez was cited with Confined within Premises of the Owner (S).

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 11-22-18 police responded to the 1400 block of Chadwyck Ln for a reported theft from vehicle.  The suspect was captured on video entering the unlocked vehicle at 0409 hours and $1.00 worth of coins was taken.

WARRANT SERVICE: On 11-24-18 police responded to Women’s and Babies Hospital, 690 Good Dr for a subject with warrants.  Cody Moser (29) of Drumore was located and taken into custody for outstanding warrants held by Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department, Pennsylvania State Police and Southern Regional Police of Lancaster.  Moser was transported to Lancaster County Prison.

DOG LAW VIOLATION: On 11-25-18 police were dispatched to the 200 block of E Main St, Landisville for a found dog.  Following investigation it was determined that the dog owner is George Grove (40) of Landisville.  Grove was cited with Confined within Premises of the Owner(S).
