Incident Details:

A 2019 Chrysler Pacifica van, operated by Mona Coldiron (74 years of age) of Oxford, PA, was traveling northbound on Reading Road south of Precast Road in East Earl Township.  Coldiron’s van crossed the centerline of Reading Road and collided with a 2014 Yamaha motorcycle driven by Grant Beauchamp (69 years of age) of Narvon, PA.  Beauchamp’s wife; Delores Beauchamp (68 years of age), was a passenger on the Beauchamp motorcycle.  The Beauchamp motorcycle was traveling southbound on Reading Road, when it struck the Coldiron van on the front end with the front of the motorcycle.  The impact caused the Beauchamps to be ejected onto an adjacent lawn.

Grant and Delores Beauchamp were pronounced dead at the accident scene by the Deputy Lancaster County Coroners.

Mona Coldiron was transported to the Reading Hospital by the Fivepointville Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

Reading Road was closed between Union Grove Road and Turkey Farm Road for several hours.

The East Earl Township Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Weaverland Valley Fire Department, the Fivepointville Ambulance, WellSpan Medics, Fire Police from Weaverland Valley Fire Department and Garden Spot Fire Rescue, the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, including the Lancaster County Crash team (Reconstruction), and the Lancaster County Coroner's Office.

This news release was delayed to allow adequate time to locate and notify the Beauchamp’s next of kin.
