Prison Sentence for West Donegal Man who Shared Child Porn via ChatStep

A West Donegal Township man was recently sentenced to prison, parole and probation terms for having and sharing child pornography.

Jamon D. Wagner, 44, pleaded guilty to four felonies, including dissemination of child pornography.

Wagner was sentenced to 9 to 23 months in prison plus five years of probation, in accordance with a plea agreement arranged by Assistant District Attorney Janie Swinehart.

Lancaster County Judge David Ashworth accepted the plea terms and ordered sentence.

Police determined Wagner was sharing lewd content via ChatStep, an online chatroom platform.

Police executed a search warrant last year at Wagner’s School Lane home and seized devices, including a laptop computer. Child pornography was found on that computer.

Wagner admitted to police to looking at child pornography. He told police he stopped when he “realized how wrong it was.”

Northwest Regional police filed charges. The Lancaster County Computer Crimes Task Force assisted in the investigation.
