Parolee Caught with Child Pornography on Unregistered Phone During Appointment

A Lititz man is charged with having child pornography on his cellphone – found last month during an appointment with his parole officer.

Kevin P. Yorgey’s prior conviction requires that he register certain information, including cellular devices, with the state parole department.

During a Jan. 16 appointment at the parole office on East Chestnut Street in Lancaster city, the officer discovered Yorgey had an unregistered cellphone.

Police determined it contained 118 images and a video depicting child pornography.

Lancaster County Detective Brent Shultz charged Yorgey with five felonies.

During a Jan. 23 interview, Yorgey told Detective Shultz “he has a problem” and that he downloaded the pornography onto the phone.

Yorgey’s bail was set at $25,000; he is also being held at Lancaster County Prison for the parole matter.

Yorgey, of Fort Ross Avenue, is presumed innocent.

The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Computer Crimes Unit assisted in the investigation.
