Man Charged with Secretly Filming Child and 3 Adults in Bathrooms at Rapho Township Home

A Maryland man is charged with surreptitiously filming three women and creating child pornography by filming a child while he lived in Rapho Township.

Jason Warren Groff, 36, was arrested Thursday morning in Maryland. He is charged with 13 offenses: nine felonies and four misdemeanors.

Groff had placed recording devices in bathrooms of the home, investigators determined.

Manheim Borough police Detective Aaron Szulborski filed the charges after an investigation that involved analysis of a laptop computer, external hard drive, and USB drives.

Police determined Groff was using the devices and stored the illegal materials on them while living at the Rapho Township home.

Police found 37 images of child pornography, including five photos of an identified local child who was filmed while in a bathroom.

The three women, who have been identified, were also filmed while in the bathroom.

Groff is charged with multiple counts of child pornography, criminal use of a computer device, invasion of privacy, and a single count of unlawful contact with a minor.

He is in custody in Maryland and will be extradited to Lancaster County to face the charges.

Groff is presumed innocent.
