Case

A Lancaster fugitive was recently sentenced to up to 40 years in prison for dealing heroin.

Angel “Fly” Galarza Sr., 61, failed to appear for his April trial and he also no-showed for his recent sentencing hearing in Lancaster County Court.

Lancaster County Judge David Ashworth jailed Galarza 8 years (and a month) to 40 years.

Anyone with information about Galarza is asked to contact their local police department. Tips can be submitted via this CrimeWatch page.

Galarza appeared for a suppression hearing prior to his trial in April, but has been on the lam since. He posted bail via a bondsman after his arrest in 2017.

Galarza formerly lived in the 900 block of East King Street, Lancaster city. He also has ties to Philadelphia.

Assistant District Attorney Deborah Greathouse presented testimony at the two-day trial that Galarza had nearly 1,400 bags of heroin which were seized in separate searches.

Police also found about $35,000 in cash at Galarza’s storage unit and safety deposit box.

Galarza’s extensive criminal record was considered at sentencing.
