Info Sought Regarding Lancaster County Teacher Charged with Sexual Contact with Student

Law-enforcement officials are seeking information about a Lancaster County teacher charged this week with having sexual contact with a student.

Anyone who believes they might have information regarding Timothy M. Sterner that law-enforcement should be aware of is asked to contact Lancaster city police, the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, or submit information via this CrimeWatch page.

Sterner, 52, is charged with several felonies regarding contact with a person who was a student at School District of Lancaster between 2011 and 2015.

Sterner is presumed innocent and is not charged with anything beyond that incident. Lancaster city police continue to investigate, in consultation with the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.

Sterner was a teacher with School District of Lancaster for about 30 years.

Additionally, he provided private music lessons to students at school and his home on Nolt Road.

Sterner organized and attended various concerts in Lancaster County and Pennsylvania.

Sterner also organized trips with students to Florida and Europe.
