Ephrata police have charged two people with supplying a fatal batch of heroin that killed an Ephrata man in 2016.
Callie C. Bowen, 20, of Ephrata, and Patrick C. McEvoy, 25, of the 2000 block of Swarr Run Road, are each charged with first-degree felony drug delivery resulting in death and conspiracy – drug delivery resulting in death; as well as a third-degree felony charge of criminal use of a communication facility.
Bowen and McEvoy arranged, via a series of text messages, to sell heroin to Brandon Lied, 25, of Ephrata, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on July 27, 2016.
Charges were filed Friday, February 10, 2017. A warrant is outstanding for McEvoy.
