Motorist planning to travel Rt. 30 between York and Lancaster Counties are advised to use caution in the area of the Rt. 30 bridge. PennDot will close Rt. 30 at Rt. 441 in Lancaster County and the Wrightsville exit in York County for an unknown amount of time tonight for emergency repair work by Amtrak and Norfolk Southern in the railyard at Columbia. Rail crews are still waiting for a crane to arrive to assist with lifting a large utlitity pole that came down with the strong winds this morning. Police were advised that Rt. 30 may be shut down around 10:00 PM this evening. We will try to keep everyone updated if times change.
Motorist will need to use the Rt. 462 bridge for crossing into and out of Lancaster County.
