COLUMBIA MARDI GRAS PARADE - THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2021 7:00PM
The Columbia Mardi Gras Parade, which is organized by the Lion's Club, will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 beginning at 7:00pm.
This year, due to COVID, the Lions Club and the Police Department are requesting that parade watchers social distance along the entire parade route. (map attached).
Parking will be restricted along the parade route. If you live along the route, and your street is posted, please find alternate parking from 6pm-10pm. As you will see on the map, several areas (highlighted in red) show no parking in areas which were previously used for parking. These areas will be posted "No Parking" so parade watchers can use these areas to social distance.
The Lion's Club has made arrangements for parade attendees to use the following parking lots during this event:
- Front and Locust Street Lot (Borough Lot)
- Avenue H Parking Lot (200 block of Avenue H)
- St. Peters Church Lot (121 South 2nd Street)
- Columbia United Methodist Lot (510 Walnut Street)
- Holy Trinity Lot (409 Cherry Street)
For safety reasons, the Lion's Club is requesting that parade vehicles continue to 6th and Cherry Streets before dispersing after the parade and that parade walkers disperse in front of Park Elementary School on 6th Street.
