Columbia Borough Police Sgt. Dave Souders is a certified MCSAP officer who helps to keep the roadways safe through stopping and inspecting trucks.

Sgt. Souders is trained as a Motor Carrier Safety Inspector through the Pennsylvania State Police.

The attached photos are from a recent inspection detail in the area of Fifth and Linden Streets in Columbia Borough.

As of the end of November, Sgt. Souders conducted 60 motor vehicle inspections and addressed 89 violations.

Depending on the severity of the violation, a vehicle may be placed out of service and/or citations issued.
