COLUMBIA BOROUGH POLICE DEPARTMENT OFFICER COMPLETES TRAINING FOR THE CRISIS INTERVENTION TEAM
Police Officer Frank Ember is most recent of 7 Columbia Borough Police Officers to complete a 40-hour course and become a member of the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). The CIT is a community-based approach to improve the outcomes of encounters between law enforcement and individuals with mental illness. The CIT helps to keep people with mental illness out of jail, in treatment, and on the road to recovery. Attached is the photo of the most recent CIT Class.
