On 12-05-24 at approx. 12:13PM the Columbia Borough Police were notified of a shooting in the 200 blk. of Ave. H. Upon arrival officers located a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries. The Columbia Borough Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the event or have any other information to contact the police department at 717-684-7735.

UPDATE:  Investigators are currently interviewing witnesses, processing recovered evidence and reviewing footage from numerous cameras in and around the area of the shooting.  Due to the large volume of video, this is a time-consuming process.  No arrests have been made, however the investigation remains active. The Columbia Police Department continues to encourage anyone with information about this shooting to contact the department through Crimewatch or at telephone number 717-684-7735.       

SECOND UPDATE-12/17/24: Investigators have located surveillance footage of the suspected shooter fleeing the area of the shooting immediately after the shooting incident. The male seen in the photos is the suspect. He is seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored jogger-type pants, and gray in color croc-type sandals. Anyone with information on this individual is encouraged to submit a tip via Crimewatch or contact Det. Matt Leddy, or the on-duty Patrol Supervisor, at 717-684-7735.
