On 10/5/20 at approximately 7:38am the Columbia Borough Police Department responded to a call in the 700 block of Chestnut Street regarding the theft of a gun from inside a vehicle. Upon arrival the Officer spoke the caller who stated that sometime between 10/4/20 at 10:30pm and October 5, 2020 at 7:30am his 9 mm, smith and Wesson, M&P Shield, serial #JCT1738 was taken from glove box of his fathers 2001 Ford 150 truck. He described the gun as being in a plastic inside-the-waistband holster and was fully loaded with 9 rounds of 9 mm ammunition.
