On 03/26/24 the Columbia Borough Police arrested a 16-year-old Columbia resident in connection to the January 15th 2024 shooting incident in the area of North Fourth Street and Ave.G.

After an extensive investigation, charges were filed by the Columbia Police for Firearms Not To Be Carried Without A License (Felony 3), Possession of Firearm By Minor (Misdemeanor

1), and Recklessly Endangering Another Person (Misdemeanor 2).  Upon placing the juvenile under arrest, Officers discovered that the offender was in possession of a firearm.  As a result, additional charges were filed

for Firearms Not To Be Carried Without a License (Felony 3) and Possession of Firearm By Minor (Misdemeanor 1). 

The juvenile offender was transported to the Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center.
