On 10/2/19 at approximately 7:34 am the Columbia Borough Police Department was dispatched to the 700 block of Locust Street for a possible burglary in progress.  Upon arrival the officer spoke with the caller who stated she walked downstairs after waking up and noticed that her rear door was ajar and that the storm door's window was cracked.  The officer searched the house but did not find anyone.  The caller stated that nothing was missing from the home except a metal grate, which protects the basement window.  Anyone with information regarding this crime should contact the Columbia Borough Police Department at 717-684-7735 or text LANCS to 847411
