Wind related signal malfunction reported by NLCRPD patrols at Lititz Pike (Route 501) and Owl Hill Road. Crwes were advised. No estimated time for signal restoration.

The tractor trailers that had been blocking the ramp have been cleared and the roadway is now open!  Please drive carefully!

The ramp from Manheim Pike (Route 72) to Route 283 East is closed due to two disabled tractor trailers blocking the roadway.  The ramp will be closed for an extended period of time.  Motorists should avoid this area and plan alternate routes of travel.

Emergency responders are currently on the scene of a crash with no injuries at 272 South and Baumgardner Rd. in Pequea Twp. The roadway is restricted to one lane, please use caution in the area.

There is a speed check underway in East Petersburg. Please drive carefully, wear your seatbelt, and stay off your electronic device!

This morning at Lititz Elementary there was a small fire in the building.  Through the immediate actions of the staff, the fire was quickly contained.  The Lititz Fire Company arrived promptly to evaluate the situation; there was no damage done to the school and no one was injured.

All students and staff followed emergency procedures, everyone is safe and back in the building for the remainder of the day.

Parents/guardians of affected students were notified by the District.

The LBPD is investigating the origin and cause of the fire.

The NLCRPD Administrative Offices will close at 12:00 on Monday, December 31 and be closed for the remainder of day on New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. The Administrative offices will re-open at 8:00 on January 2, 2019.
