The traffic signal on New Holland Pike at Butter Road has experienced power failure due to a severed electrical cable. Emergency crews will be on scene directing traffic manually for an extended period of time. Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route as this area may experience a slower-than-normal traffic flow. If you must travel through this area, please use extra caution. Updates will be provided as they become available.
Columbia Police are investigating a shots fired call in the area of the 200 Blk of S Third Street. Witnesses reported hearing multiple shots in the block. Anyone with information is asked to call the Columbia Borough Police at (717)684-7735 or text tips LANCS to 847411
TRAFFIC ALERT AS OF 8:50 A.M. ON THURSDAY, 10/3/2019
This morning, officers from the Manheim Township Police Department are on scene of two (2) separate crashes in the Township. In both events, the wet roadways have played a factor in the crash. Crash locations are:
- 6:42 a.m.: Pleasure Road at Deer Ford Drive = A vehicle lost control, left the roadway, went down an embankment, and struck a tree. - 7:09 a.m.: Oregon Pike at Eden Road = A vehicle lost control, left the roadway, and struck a utility pole.
Minutes from now, officers from the Manheim Township Police Department will be at the Starbucks at 1950 Fruitville Pike in Manheim Township for another Coffee With a Cop event. They will be there until 10:00 a.m. Come out, say hello, and engage in conversation! We hope to see you there!
The The Manheim Township Public Works Department will once again be closing the 1200 block of Creek Road between Oregon Pike and East Oregon Road for road work. The street will be shut from approximately 9:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 until approximately 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. Motorists are to use the detour of East Oregon Road to Oregon Pike, near the Speedway. As always, please be careful when driving upon the roadways!
At 1106 hrs. Monday 9/23/19 Officers from Lancaster Bureau of Police, Platoon D, responded to the 300 blk. Howard Ave. for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival Officers found a male that had been shot.
