TRAFFIC ALERT AS OF 12:27 P.M., ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25TH, 2020

The Manheim Township Police Department is currently on the scene of a crash involving two (2) tractor trailers on Route 222 South near Hunsicker Road.  Route 222 South has been shut and all southbound traffic is being diverted at the Oregon Pike interchange.  Motorists should expect heavy delays throughout this area and plan alternate routes of travel, if possible.  Updates will be provided as they become available.

The Manheim Township Police Department is on scene of a vehicle crash on Route 30 West at Route 222, which has shut Route 30.  Motorists should expect delays and try to take alternate routes of travel, if possible.  Updates will be given as they become available.

PennDOT to Replace Newport Road Bridge in Penn Township, Lancaster County
Project expected to be completed by mid-May

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that its contractor has begun to replace the bridge that carries Newport Road (Route 4030) over Boyers Run in Penn Township, Lancaster County.

The bridge, which is located just west of Sanctuary Road, and southeast of Locust Lane, closed this morning. A detour will be in place using Lebanon Road (Route 72) and Elizabethtown Road (Route 4008).

The crashes which occurred earlier this morning have been cleared and the roadway is now completely open.  Motorists are encouraged to drive safely!

TRAFFIC ALERT AS OF 8:35 A.M. ON TUESDAY, 2/4/2020

Route 30 East is closed between Route 222 and New Holland Pike due to a crash involving multiple vehicles.  Motorists should avoid the area and plan alternate routes of travel.  Updates will be provided as they become available.

Those persons who disregarded the January 21 message regarding this topic are featured in the NLCRPD January 30 post for issuance of non-traffic citations for ordinance violations 

Officers are at the scene for a pedestrian struck. This occurred at the intersection of E. King St. and Ann St. 

The pedestrian struck was a child.  The child is at the hospital for observation and treatment. There is no information on injuries at this time. One of the child's parents was at the scene and is at the hospital. 

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is speaking with Officers.

As a result of citizen complaints concerning the failure to remove snow in compliance with the Warwick Township ordinances, the NLCRPD is immediately initiating enforcement of the ordinance requirements.
