On Sunday April 17, 2016 at 10:17 a.m., Ephrata Police responded to Walmart, 890 East Main Street, Ephrata Township, for a retail theft. According to Walmart asset protection personnel, Joann E. Smith, 30, of Ephrata, failed to pay for $667 worth of merchandise. Smith was charged with retail theft.
